The ILLEGALS Comprised of musicians with a pedigree of old school Boston alternative bands,the ILLEGALS pay homage to that ground breaking era while taking it into a new direction. Band members have performed everywhere from The Rat to Richfield Coliseum. Thousands of hours have been spent on the road in motels of questionable character. The dues have been paid,the rock is secure, and the band is the ILLEGALS. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fred Pineau, Guitar Fred is best known as lead guitarist of old school legends The Atlantics and can be heard on Atlantics hits such as Lonelyhearts,When You're Young, and Wrong Number. The Atlantics toured with Roxy Music, Cheap Trick, Talking Heads, The Ramones and many others. Prior to that, Fred was a member of Bonjour Aviators a Boston band who were part of the original New York scene in 1975, performing at CBGB'S and Max's Kansas City on bills with bands such as Television, Talking Heads, Johnny Thunders&The Heartbreakers and The Dead Boys. From there he went on to another original Boston alternative band, Third Rail. Post Atlantics, Fred went into production and has performed selectively with bands The Syphlloids and retro alternative band The Kenmores >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ray Fernandes, Drums/Vocals Also known as "Rayboy" is another veteran of The Atlantics having played on the ABC Records album "Big City Rock" and the MCA Records release of "One Last Night", Ray was the drummer on the Roxy Music and Cheap Trick tours as well as many other concert dates. Ray was a founding member of the Boston supergroup Primary Colors and band consisting of members from other popular bands like La Peste,The Neighborhood, Pastiche, and of course, The Atlantics. He currently owns and operates Boston Butta Studios and has engineered and produced some of the best known hip hop artists of the genre such as Akrobatik, Mr Lif, Edo G, Guru, and many more. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mark Kennedy Vocals A Quincy native Mark has been a Boston alternative scene fixture since 1984, when after four years of sneaking into clubs to see punk and alternative bands, he finally at the age of 18 began singing for Strange Flesh. Over the years, Mark has been in the trenches belting out alternative punk with Boston bands such as Vivisect, Toecutter, Facts About Rats, Blojob, Defrockt, The Kenmores & Nothing. Mark brings a long history of performing in the very best seedy clubs that Boston has to offer, and as the front man/singer for the ILLEGALS provides an experience not soon forgotten. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Patrick "Rockit" Moynihan Bass Pat has had more than 20 years of experience and is one the most sought after bass players in the Boston area. Prior to his joing forces with the Illegals.. he has been a member of many Boston area bands including American Pulverizer, Kenny Chambers and was also a member of Gimantis for over 2 years. Gimantis has a song on the soundtrack of the soon to be classic B Horror movie Die You Zombie Bastards.(in which he played bass) a very big deal to be sure!!!!!! In addition to playing with the Illegals, "Rockit" is also a member of another great Boston band.. Tenafly Vipers. One thing's for sure.. wherever this "Rockit" lands, he brings the Rawk. The Illegals feel very fortunate to be working with him
