Bio

We are a real band with a little twist. These recordings were done under strange circumstances. Heres the jist story:

Iram (the trumpet player), is a music student at UT. A friend of his from the recording school offered him some time in the studio if he wanted. Iram had recorded some tracks durring the last semester. Though he liked the sound quality of the recording, he wasn't happy with the outcome because he only recorded jazz standards. That's where This band comes in the picture.

Iram and I have been good friends since middle school and had been jamming out acoustic style since the I moved here to Austin. He came up to me one day and told me he was offered studio time and he wanted to take Abel and I in to record our music, but under one condition: He had to play on our songs.

We immediatly agreed and found ourselves with free studio time, but no band. I was working at a pizza place at the time with Marcus (drums) and Jordan (lead guitar), and first asked Jordan to play. Before asking Marcus to play I had originally intended to play drums myself. But Marcus came with another missing piece to the puzzle: The Bass player-Joel. Marcus and Joel are in another band called Know More Robots, but agreed to play with us on this recording.

With the band now complete Abel and I had one day to teach everybody thier parts before going to the studio. Once we were in the studio everything just seemed to fall right into place. We even had time to get David (the tromboner) to play with us. There was no way to record track by track that day so we had to play these songs all the way through live without a hitch; if we had messed up halfway we would've had to start all over. We were having lots of fun and I think that shows in the end result. The vocals and guitar solos were overdubbed a few days later. Post production of these songs took a while, but it was worth it.

Abel and I are proud to say we wrote and play these songs and give thanks to the other musicians who made us sound real fucking good. We hope you like.
