"The Independent Democratic Republic"

The Independent Democratic Republic or "IDR" was born out of two completely different genre's and two completely different groups of musicians. The only real thing they had in common was a true passion and love for music. Musician Teddy Holmes(formerly of the hip hop group The Nothing) asked long time friends and fellow musicians "Booker Lee & The County Fair" if they would back him with their live band to play a special show at the local coffee house. Everyone agreed and got together to start rehearsals. Almost immediately something clicked. After only one rehearsal the new collaboration had put together five great songs melding rock music with really good hip hop lyrics. After this rehearsal everyone involved agreed that this was a really fun project. Solomen Pade (also formally of The Nothing) joined the group for the second rehearsal and added a whole new dynamic to the group by contributing his lyrics and energy to the project. Everyone knew at this point that we had something special. Hip hop and rock music are no strangers to one another but this project is taking on a life of it's own.
