"New Band Surprises "Garage" Owner"

"The Indigo Bracket played their first gig at the Garage this September (2009), I was immediately struck by the connection developed between the band and the crowd. This band knows what it's fans want, and with their eclectic taste they cover every possible aspect of the mob's desires. They are an excellent band and I'm looking forward to hearing more of them at the Garage in the future." - The Duncan Herald

Bio

We are The Indigo Bracket. We started out playing on Vancouver Island in 2008 as Atypical and after sets from the Duncan garage to Logans pub we took our band to Edmonton to play in the city. After a couple months of playing gigs at The New City Liqwid lounge, B-Scene studios and after playing a few summer festivals: Peachfest in BC (where we picked up our bass player) and New York's MEANYfest we had completely re-hauled our project. Now that we had something we wanted people to hear, we moved to Vancouver to set up shop and hopefully get some recordings out on the radio. We are currently working out the logistics of a recording and setting up gigs in Vancouver as well as preparing for Penticton's Winterfest this December. After watching one of our sets you will see the huge variety we are capable of. The dynamics of our music range from acoustic to stadium rock. We are striving for mainstream success and to contribute something new to the existing body of music in the world. With so much repetition around us, it's our goal to make something new. Our influences include The Foo Fighters, Rage Against the Machine, The Black Keys, The Beatles, The Pixies, and Muse. The Indigo Bracket is fun for the whole family. The Indigo Bracket isn't recommended for pregnant women (your unborn children may jam out of your stomach). The Indigo Bracket cures constipation and should be taken twice daily. Side effects include head-banging, and erectile dysfunction. The Indigo Bracket! Now canned in myspace music just like everyone else!
