""Austin, Texas""

What we got here is a rowdy country-rock tune, loaded with chicken-pickin’ geetar, solid drumming, and the steady thud of the jug-band bassline. It is clearly driven hard by the singer’s raspy yelp that sounds like it has been left to sweat a couple days in some backwoods country smokehouse. Though the music’s doused in old-timey Americana, it’s been polished to a high studio-shine and lacks in the boot grit and tobacco spit of true-blue country music. Still, I’d be a son of a bitch if bartenders didn’t see an increase in whiskey sales and fist-fights every time this tune hit the jukebox at the local watering hole. (Will Barry) - The Noise

"The Inebriations / The Demo EP"

Listening to Dave Yuknat's most recent project, the Inebriations brings two thoughts immediately to mind. First; this is what Dan Zanes would sound like if he decided to stop writing kiddie songs. Second; boy, I really miss Wild Horses-era Rolling Stones. This collection of mostly acoustic, mandolin-heavy songs has a bluesy Americana feel but remains playful and upbeat. The five tracks contained on the Demo EP hint at really good things to come.

The Demo EP can be downloaded for free from the Inebriations' Bandcamp site (http://theinebriations.bandcamp.com). (George Dow) - The Noise

Bio

The Inebriations started in the early 2010s as one of those “one guy with a band name” acts. The band was named for a term I once used to refer to as anything creative – a thought or a dream – “The Inebriations” are creations from the subconscious. Some people tell me it’s the best band name ever, and the rest are just a little confused.

The original demos were released hyper-locally (meaning no one heard them) and eventually with the help of a couple of Craig’s List ads a real band began to form. There have been a few iterations of The Inebriations. The original sound was influenced by Sun Studio and the neo-americana movement of the 2010s. Over time, we’ve morphed back into the roots rock that has always been the backbone and ultimate collective influence.

The Inebriations is a rock trio in the classic mold, with sounds that shapeshift between Grant Lee Buffalo and Johnny Cash + The Tennesee Two. Rick plays drums, Jose plays bass and Dave plays guitar and sings.

We play out at all the normal Boston area haunts. Come see us.
