Biography

I come from a small town in the mountains and because of that I've always been staggered by natural beauty. I try and mix that in with the music and give it colorful, visceral, lasting imagery. I believe that music should be an emotionally engaging experience. There should be something transfered either between the artist and the audience whether it be one or a hundred thousand people. I believe that genre is something that limits your music and should be dissolved. I like music that's harrowing for the soul, digs things up and tosses them around. I'm humbled by any good performance and believe that it transcends whatever medium it is taking place in. I believe that I have something to offer musically and emotionally to people. I play with a five or six person band when I play gigs and it's usually a few of the same people.

Lyrics

The Alarm

Written By: Charles Hughes

Tell me, how we gonna know when
is the fever gonna show then
beneath the falling snow

what's the feeling like while falling
wrapped tightly with a ball and chain
just flailing like a doll

won't you wanna know the secrets
then turn and face the weakness
in all our hollow eyes.

I'll hold you in my heavy camera
my shoes will turn to ashes
just follow their trail

I'm sounding the alarm
I'm sounding the alarm
I'm swinging for the stars baby now I'm a new revival from the storm

You left here without a footprint
just a constant reassurance
of the underlying tear

coping, stroking down the ego
one steal of a deal ya
you've got yourself a man

if the eyes are the gateway to the soul
then I'll always keep them closed
so then you'll never know

I'm sounding the alarm
I'm sounding the alarm
I'm swinging for the stars baby now I'm a new revival from the storm

wouldn't you want to...
wouldn't you want to...
wouldn't you want to...

Human Home

Written By: Charles Hughes

Impostor in my human home
just stopping by can't stay for long
I'm so pleasant in my cloak of chrome
I'm a stranger in my human home

dreamin in letters gotta carve my name
in red letter stencils too
it's stormy in heaven dripping down a holy stain
it's in the grain now too

I'm a delicate beast with nowhere to go
gonna grind my teeth to the bone
just sending out a signal all across the weary sky
to find a human home
gotta find a human
gotta find a human
gotta find a human home

gotta find a human
gotta find a human
gotta find a human home

Impostor in my human home
just stopping by can't stay for long
I'm so pleasant in my cloak of chrome
It's so strange here in my human home

trouble the water, muddy the water
cause all I need is on the surface

trouble the water, muddy the water
cause all I need is on the surface
