The Initiation are a Sydney based band with a contemporary melodic rock sound that recalls artists such as Paramore, Kisschasy, Fall Out Boy and Jimmy Eat World. Forming in January 08’ They have been making a name for them selves touring extensively throughout QLD, VIC, NSW, SA, and ACT playing along side Trial Kennedy, Ivoryline (USA) Valencia (USA) Midnight Youth (NZ) Noshxi (UK) and Washington to name a few. Their 1st Single “Killing Time” received airplay on Nova Radio and the film clip is currently on Rage and Channel V.
The Initiation honors the tried and tested guidelines for great music; strong melody, memorable hooks, and an ability to balance the amazingly powerful with the sublimely subtle.
The Initiation released their New EP “Tumbling In Turbulence” Spring 2010. It is in stores now through Green Media/MGM.
