Bio
An experiment in conceptual progressive rock. A conscious reaction to the crippling music ADHD suffered by the 21st century listener.
Openly self-indulgent and steeped in disquieting atmosphere, the aim is to revive the art of the 70s concept album, enormous gatefold and all. The Institute concept plays out the narrative of a shadowy organization in the business of manipulation and mind control, hidden behind a thin veil of benevolence.
In the absence of brave investors, the band self produced 'Welcome to The Institute of Modern Love', Part 1 of their 3 part album (mixed by Matt Hyde - Bullet for my Valentine, Trivium). The result is a truly unique sounding opus, like a 70s rock band stuck in the body of a disillusioned modern businessman. The voice of The Institute comes courtesy of haunting female narration track, weaving its way through the ebb and flow of the music.
Parts 2 and 3 are ready to be delivered, and are showcased in The Institute’s epic audio/visual live shows.
