"The Invaders "Where Ya Gone" CD"

"The Invaders sixth album is at its best when the band recalls the genre's '60s formative era in witty little story songs. The group achieves its own twist with the inclusion of harmonica and violin amid the requisite brass, keyboards and hyperactive rhythm section."
Jamie Lee Rake - Shepherd Express - Shepherd Express

"Invaders appearing live!"

"Milwaukee’s signature ska group, The Invaders perform their trad-roots-leaning third wave ska, which eschews some of the punkier riffs their peers increasingly are falling back on in favor of a more authentic, ’60s Jamaican shuffle.
"Shepherd Express Staff - Shepherd Express - Shepherd Express

Bio

Formed in 1987, the Invaders have since became a legendary Milwaukee and Wisconsin ska tradition for over two decades. They are the most recognizable, longest running, fuel-injected high-energy ska band ever to emerge from Milwaukee. Many ska bands site The Invaders as a major influence on their sound. The band sites influences from traditional 60's Jamaican legends like Desmond Dekker & Laurel Aitken and the British 2-Tone Ska movement. Likened to contemporaries like Fishbone, The English Beat, Reel Big Fish and Oingo Boingo. The band had toured tirelessly all over the Midwest and beyond, bringing their ska rampage to festivals, clubs and college campuses to the delight of screaming, skanking and sweaty fans.
