Bio
The Isles first release, “Back to Terrific”, came out in 2005 on Binder records. The EP marked the beginning of their home recording adventures. The basement studio became known as “Action Jackson”; Jackson Avenue is the street they lived on. The EP was well received and with the help of a friend at warp records, they arranged a week long tour in London that led to their signing to Melodic records.
By the time they had signed to Melodic, “Perfumed Lands”, their debut LP was half complete. It too, was recorded at Action Jackson - with four microphones and a laptop.
Upon release, “Perfumed Lands” was praised by major publications such as “The Guardian”, “Magnet” and “NME”. A European tour followed.
On July 19th 2008, the group stepped into a commercial studio for the first time and began recording their third release, “Troika”.
The album was completed in twenty-one days. Release date TBA.
