"What Brings You Here review"

“The Jackstones’ What Brings You Here is a must-have disc for anyone who wants to hear good, memorable music with a rock beat, regardless of genre. Since well before the century’s turn, younger-generation country crossover artists started glossing and rocking up their sound, dumping much of the country vibe and instruments, so the new country the Jackstones shoot for is more straight ahead rock, with themes in a few tunes that have a country feel. No problem: their guitar/key classic/arena rock draws from bands like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and the Wallflowers and it is infectious. Opening the 13-track platter of originals with nifty rocker “Breaking Me Down,” the strengths are there: tight, layered guitars grinding, good vocal interplay with Machin in the lead slot, and plenty of harmony help from Lorenzini. The guys add some lyrical fun to make the tune jump even higher, “She’s a girl who demands respect/ I believe it ‘cause it’s tattooed on her neck.” ”

"Review "She Dyed It Red" video"

The Jackstones
“She Dyed it Red”

"She Dyed it Red" is a twangy rock tune about a local woman who dumps her groom-to-be at the altar and then initiates a personal awakening by dying her wedding gown red. The Jackstones trick you into swallowing this completely illogical premise by delivering a smooth, proper performance, and then they seal the deal by getting Roger Hedgecock to make a cameo in their music video. Rock on, old dudes. thejackstones.com

Bio

The Jackstones are Andy, guitar and vocals, Rick, Keyboard, Guitar and
vocals, George, drums, and Bjorn, bass. Formed several years ago as a
cover band in San Diego, The Jackstones live show has always been a
rowdy, rock and roll experience. Successful songwriters and musicians in
their own right, The Jackstones decided to embark on an original
project that started as an EP and grew into a full 13 song CD released
in September 2014.

Self-described as New Country Arena Rock, the
band and songwriters Lorenzini and Machin, take the listener through the
highs and misfortunes of nearly everyman on "What Brings You Here", the first CD from The Jackstones. From the compelling opening riff of "Breaking Me Down", to the lamented goodbye played out in "Next Time You Amaze Me",
The Jackstones paint a rather blurry, yet magnificent,  picture of what
its like to be forlorned, lost and loved all in this millennium, all at
the same moment.

"She Dyed It Red" the first single and video from the band, immediately takes you to that point in ones'  life where no
is not only the best answer, but the only answer that makes sense. Our
heroines role in stark black and white suddenly becomes a vibrant red
array of color, and she never looks back.

We hope you enjoy the music, and come out to see us when you can.
