Bio
The Jacky Howellers have been etching their unique path in the blues for almost a decade. Consisting of Rod Mitchell on guitar/vocal & kickdrums and Dan Sullivan on harmonica they have shared the stage with Ash Grunwald, Ray Beadle, Ali Penney & the Moneymakers and have toured, supporting Aussie blues forefather Phil Manning 3 times.
The Howellers play a mixture of original & pre & post WWII blues, drawing heavy influences from American legends Howlin Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamnson II & John Lee Hooker delivered with a distinct "delta style", mixing acoustic slide & resonator guitar with soulful & electricfied harmonica. On last touring with the boys Phil Manning said to his full house upon following this supporting act "This is my favourite band at the moment"..
