Bio

Portland-based melodic groove quintet JAHAI are set to release their first EP on March 31.  Recorded at Supernatural Sound in Oregon City, OR and mastered at London Bridge Studios in Seattle, WA, Death and Entrances serves as a punishing primer to a northwest band on the rise.

JAHAI is bonded in blood, brotherhood and brutality as this established Cascadian metal band takes its name from an ancient culture of nomadic hunters.

Creating “melodic chaos,” JAHAI molds sweeping songscapes ranging from no-holds-barred organic metal to paragon anthems that would rock even the most casual listener to their core.

No strangers to the road, JAHAI have shared the stage with many notable genre acts (Killswitch Engage, Black Dahlia Murder, Shadows Fall).  This seasoned ensemble crafts an awe-inspiring relentless live show for concert-attending patrons, who quickly become loyal fans.

Forged throughout the 2000's, brothers Nikk & Jon Jahai teamed up to form the earliest editions of the band. Loyd Abbott was inducted in 2006 and Jake Wilde was enlisted in early 2011. JAHAI became unified with the addition of Aub Driver in mid 2012 and has been climbing the Rose City metal scene ever since.

The band’s grassroots and DIY attitude allows JAHAI to carve it’s own future, taking to constant regional touring, recording and promotions. “We’ve placed our blood, sweat and souls into creating music that is both awesome and abrasive – that’s the true beauty of metal, after all,” noted Aub Driver. “This initial offering to the metal gods showcases our strength, talent and potential.”
