The Jamie Laird Project is just that ....a project with a revolving door of Musician friends stopping by to help out Because Jamie can not play all instruments at the same time! He is an amazing Singer /songwriter with an amazing Jeff buckley range and a sometimes frank zappa , sometime Joe Pass Guitar range , Yes I said Joe Pass !! but add a pop , soul feel and wow , every song is Different and when ever a new musician friend comes to sit in Live ; the songs take on a new demention and we like it like that ! An eclectic mix of Soulful Blues and Acoustic Melodies, Jamie's music found its genesis in the summer of 2000. Born from the scattered ashes of two previous local bands, the Jamie Laird project was created to do one thing . . .PLEASE A LIVE CROWD.
With a blend of rock, jazz, blues and R&B/soul, coupled with thoughtful, inspiring and real lyrics, Jamie draws a wide audience base. Jamie plays music people actually listen to, relate to, and come back to hear more of. With over three hours of original songs, BR's style is just that: original, passionate and honest.
Jamie has been playing in an assortment of bands and ensembles since the 1980s. With the addition of Beth, a PIT alum, there's no musical limits to how far this rythmic pairing can go.
They put on a production like no other. With over ten years of musical tenure, they are delighted to display their talents in front of crowds all over the Northeast. With a style that appeals to all, yet defies categorization, this synergy will amaze you.
