Bio

Jason Coley was born April 17, 1987, and raised in Cedar Grove, GA, just outside Atlanta. Jason’s passion for singing came at an early age, as he performed his first solo during the fifth grade. Like many artists, Jason honed his musical skills in a church setting.

In February, 2005, Jason was a finalist in the Nashville Music Network vocal competition held in Tampa, Florida. Also in 2005, Jason cut his first demo entitled “First Flight”.

Following graduation from high school in 2005, Jason enrolled at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia. During the summer he returned to Atlanta to perform at Six Flags Over Georgia’s Crystal Pistol Theatre. He performed in over 225 shows in the “Honky Tonk Saturday Night Show”, where he received rave reviews.

His love of performing coupled with his passion for country music moved Jason to totally focus on his career. Passing on a music scholarship to LaGrange College he chose to fore go college. Since then, Jason’s days have been filled with a different sort of college; receiving instruction from renowned vocal coach Jan Smith and honing his guitar skills with Peter Vogl.

Paying his dues, Jason has performed at numerous venues, including: Cowboy’s, Kennesaw, GA; Hog’s Breath Saloon, Destin, FL; One Star Ranch, Alpharetta, GA; Off Campus Bar & Grill, Carrollton, GA; The Georgia Theater, Athens, GA; and worked with The Johnny Carlton Band, The Dave Gosdin Band, Haywire, and Travis Tritt’s lead guitar player, Wendell Cox.

Jason has also performed at various colleges, including: Valdosta State University, Georgia Tech, University of West Georgia and Kennesaw State University.

During CRS 2007 week in Nashville, Jason completed a three day performance at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, Legends Café and The Nashville Palace. Jason returned to Nashville in June 2007, to participate in CMT Fan Fare, where he signed autographs and greeted his rapidly growing base of fans! During the same week, Jason electrified the crowd at the NewCountryStar.com VIP Party, where he was noticed by various Music Row promoters, managers, songwriters, and publishers.

In 2008, Jason has opened for the likes of Lady Antebellum, Josh Gracin, Zac Brown, Corey Smith and Ricky Skaggs! In October 2008, The Jason Coley Band opened for Aaron Tippin, at the Cumming Country Fair & Arts Festival, in Cumming, GA.

Jason also shares his talents for a variety of worthy causes. He has performed benefit events for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the Angelman Syndrome Foundation and the Georgia Rehabilitation of Wildlife (GROW) Celebrity Benefit Gala. Attendees at the GROW event included country music stars Clint Black, Mark Wills and Doug Stone.
