Jay Neal is a multi-talented, engineer, producer, singer/songwriter, artist, and drummer from Washington, DC. Raised in church, music has always been a platform for Jay. Learning the complicated harmonies from the church his mom & brother attended helped Jay hone his musical ear for song arrangement, production, and his eventual ventures into the artistry.
At age 15 Jay taught himself to play the 5 piece drum kit and (with the help of the movie SLAM and Saul Williams) how to write poetry, which evolved into rhymes & song creation. It was at 19 though when Jay ventured into the production and the audio professional field. Attending schools like SAE & AIM in Atlanta, Georgia, Jay sometimes has as much professional training in the musical field than some of the people that work for him, hence the acute attention detail Jay is known for. You can hear it in the focus of every rhyme and every kick of the drum. It's what he lives for.
