Bio

The Jersey Blondes are a four-piece rock combo hailing from the mean streets of southern New Jersey. Vocalist Ryan Jackson along with the Sickler brothers, guitarist Parker and drummer Bill, have been jamming together for over eight years. Bassist EP recently proved to be a strong addition to the trio.

Although all of the members are from the same area, each had a different way of coming to the band. In the late 90’s when some of the guys went off to school, new musical ventures were started as well.

Ryan stayed close to home and formed “Standing Ground,” a young band with definite rock star status potential. The band played a few shows for South Jersey locals giving Ryan a chance to familiarize himself with center-stage.

Parker traveled south to Virginia and started “Competition Orange.” Continuing to play guitar, he added vocal experience to his resume as the lead singer of the band. Along with three other members, Parker’s "Competition Orange" played several shows and even recorded nine studio tracks.

Deciding that he was a city man, Bill moved to Philadelphia where he started his own band “Missiles from the Upper Regions.” In the city of “brotherly love” Bill was able to keep his drum beats alive and at the same time explore the music scene.

Each of these newly formed bands had its moments but something was always missing. The music lacked the passion that the old friends created together. Through the simultaneous nodding of their heads, they decided to “get the band back together.” And so it was done.

Naturally, they needed a bass player to give the music a heavy funk-bottom. Ryan, Parker and Bill enlisted long-time friend EP for the job. The fellows quickly went to work in the famed Studió 87. They plugged their instruments in and the magic was back…in a major way.

They play no-nonsense, gimmick-free rock and roll. There ain’t no DJs, rappin’ or drum machines in this group. For them it is always about the music. The Blondes play it like they mean it…fast, cheap and out of control.

*****Officially named the Jersey Blondes in 2003, the band is currently working on a few dozen original songs and will be playing shows in the Philadelphia area.*******
