THE JETSETTING

THE JETSETTING

BandPopRock

The poetry of growing youth, the love of impact and sound, and a spice of power make the music of this young and passionate band. Five guys with big hearts and big dreams make the music you hear in your dreams. Ladies and Gentlemen...we are The Jetsetting.

Biography

The Jetsetting formed in early 2007 and began working hard at their goal to become a Top 40 artist. Later that year, they recorded their "self-titled" debut EP with Producer Jesse Canon (The Cure, Saves The Day). The band successfully released it themselves and established a fan base of listeners ages 10-80!

Music Nation invited the band to compete in a contest hosted by Spin Magazine to win a record deal with Epic Records. The band shined and won first place in the nation in the very first week. They advanced to the finals, but fell short of the top prize. The band kept their heads up and continued toward their ultimate goal. The band commented on falling just short, "It's a shame we didn't win but we made some really great contacts and had our songs reviewed by legendary songwriters like Perry Farrell! Not many bands can really say that. Going this far was motivation enough to keep at it"

After a few member replacements, The Jetsetting is hard at work writing their brand new album, an album that will feature a polished, more mature sound drawing comparisons to Coldplay, The Fray, and One Republic.

The Jetsetting has since inked a development deal with an up and coming Indie Label called Spindys Records and look forward to the opportunities that will be presented to them. The bands "self-titled" EP will be reissued and released with Spindys Records summer of 2009.

This year is off to a good, productive start and with tour plans and a full length album in the works, it's proven to only get better.

The sky's the limit for this young and aspiring band. Don't be surprised to see The Jetsetting on the Top-40 list in the near future...

Lyrics

September's Fall

Written By: Joseph Gehrmann-Singer

If I keep these lids closed. Tighter than ever before.
Shutting away all. I want to scream.
I can smell your leaves and hear our laughter.
When there was life and the air was clean.
You deleted my voices and burned our memories.

Now I'm still here alone.
Singing and painting your outline.
I just wanna come home to you.
I just wanna come home.

For as long as I known I've been recovering from a fall.
Time has passed but I refuse to wake up. Refuse to wake up.
Wake up!
I'm seeing you in the empty space.
I can't accept these blinking lights.
There is so much left I've never said.
I know life offers it's wars.
But there is nothing logic in my mind.
I'm trying to be strong for me but I am too lost.
I'm only getting further away.

I'm drowning in the past and holding on too long.
I know Ill never have it like you. Never at all.
I just want to come home to you.
I just want to come home.
For as long as I known I've been recovering from a fall.
Time has passed but I refuse to wake up. Refuse to wake up.
Wake up!
I'm seeing you in the empty space.
I can't accept these blinking lights.
There is so much left I've never said.
Im not your boy to help or save.
You forget that Im a prince and you are my stage.
Youve never read the book but only a page.
This isnt me .
Its only a phase.

For as long as I known I've been recovering from a fall.
Time has passed but I refuse to wake up. Refuse to wake up.
Wake up!
I'm seeing you in the empty space.
I can't accept these blinking lights.
There is so much left I've never said.

Route 17

Written By: Joseph Gehrmann-Singer

Miles away.
The memory of when I first held this silver start.
I turned it unconcentrated with my face still young.
We're pressing down hard with these weary fingers.
The songs were loud to mask the fear.
Exit after exit without a thought.
And open roads.

I'm whispering clever lines to myself, as we're slowly going off course.
The roads closed in as I slowly came apart.

We've had enough of the he said she said blame.
It's not (that) hard to comprehend. I'm sorry you don't feel the same.
Second thought.
Please don't sit down!
Use your fucking head!
You're a kid! You're a goddam kid!
You say you don't regret? Well shame on you!
You were perfectly aware and all the while you knew while I was going insane that I ran out of time.
But karma finds time. (Sweetie)

(She wants to)
Speed up! Speed up!
We slow down!
As my mind whispers a theory no charm can mask, no kiss can cure.
We are, we are survivors. We are? We are! (My love).

Deep below the blue and bangs something is unnatural.
And I know I'm not the same.
And I'm blinded by your name.
And I'll crumple at every single word you say.
You say.

We're stopping short as we are gliding through the broken glass.
The roads closed in as we slowly came apart.

We've had enough of the he said she said blame.
It's not (that) hard to comprehend. I'm sorry you don't feel the same.
Second thought.
Please! Do not sit down!
Use your fucking head!
You're a kid! You're a goddam kid!
You say you don't regret? Well shame on you.
You were perfectly aware and all the while you knew while I was going insane that I ran out of time.
But karma finds time. (Sweetie)

At least we got the weekend.
Bottles to closed doors lightens your mood.
Help me walk away, my puppeteer. Am I charming enough yet? To quote these words, in a crowd of purses dancing?
You don't know who or where you are.

I said at least we got the weekend. (Your bullets are leaving scars. This place is cold. And dead)
Bottles to closed doors lightens your mood.
So let me walk away, my puppeteer. (But now I know the rules. You're a lush and I rushed)
You don't know who you are.
Yea, you don't know where you are.
You said I don't know.(You said. You did say)

(Baby)
Mark my words you havn't seen the best of me. (I swear)

I'll burn down this town.
To show you how much you mean to me.
I'm trembling at the thought of you.
I can't stop.
I won't stop thinking.
I don't mean to complain but I'm going insane.
I'd die.
For the taste.
Of.

You.

and only you.

Green Skyline

Written By: Joseph Gehrmann-Singer

It's just for a flash. It's fast. It's quick.
Hold your breath, shut up, don't think.
Here she comes make it worth it.
Don't say a word unless it's perfect.

It's your shot, make it your best.
This isn't real and you're a cut above the rest.
You're transparent cause I'm seeing through your chest.
It's taking me over and I can't feel a thing.
I'm writing symphonies to hear you sing.
I'd drive forever just to catch your face.
Is this real or am I burning with the chase?

I'm running out of lines and I'm falling to my knees.
I'm thinking too much and I'm begging to be freed.
For you. For you.

And I'm stutter stuck and I'd die for the taste of you.
I'm feeling faint but baby I don't exaggerate.
I've never seen, not a thought but a fact, anything quite like you.
But beautiful just doesn't quite capture it. I want every inch of you, don't ask me to explain.
You could cut me to the bone and I wouldn't feel the pain.

You're singing along but I don't hear you voice.
I'd kiss you now if I had the choice.
How I get here with you in my mind?
I'm craving your lips and your emerald eyes.
Sing for me I'm all ears now.
Look at my there's no fear now.
I'm shaking can you steer now.

And please just let your hair down (I'm running out of lines and I'm falling to my knees.)
Please let your hair down.
Let your hair down for me. (I'm thinking too much and I'm begging to be freed.)
Can you? Can you please?
Let your hair down.

I'm igniting inside. And I can't take my eyes off of you. As I drive.
It's a painting from your eyes to hips. From your body to your face to your lips.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't drowning.
This is real cause my chest is p-p-p-pounding.
Sing for me I'm all ears now.
Look at me there's no fear now.
I'm shaking can you steer now?

It's just for a flash and it's fast and it's quick.
Hold your breath, shut up, don't think.
Here she comes make it worth it.
Don't say a word unless it's perfect.
