Run right into the Blues

Run Right into the Blues
By Joseph G Territo

When the sun goes down tomorrow,
Going to head on out to Memphis
Going to play some blues before sunrise,
Gonna play my strat till I’m senseless
I’m going to run right into the blues
Run right into the blues.

I’m going to call my girl back home
I‘ve gotta find my black cat bone,
I’m going to jump and shout my dues,
And look for that Johnie Cockaroo
I’m going to run right into the blues
Yeah, Run right into the blues.

Well I saw a Red House over yonder,
And I swear the sky was crying
We passed right by the crossroads,
And I thought I saw Mr. Johnson flying
I’m going to run right into the blues
Yeah, Run right into the blues. (3x)

It Can't Be Love

It Can’t Be Love
By Joseph G Territo

Something’s happening baby
Something I can’t explain
We’ve been together just a short time
So I don’t know why I’m feeling pain
My feelings for you are getting stronger
I don’t know if I can hold back much longer
Well, I think it might be love, Baby
Oh no, it can’t be love

Lets take it slow & easy baby,
You and I just need some time
We can’t let this drive us crazy,
Cause they say love is blind
We both have busy lives,
And I’m not looking to make you my wife
Well, it might be love, baby
Oh no, it can’t be love

Lead solo

Repeat second verse

(3x) Well, it might be love, baby
Oh no, it can’t be love

CD Review - By Bob Silvestri
Keeping the beer flowing and the party going on their new release 21st Century Blues are The JT Blues Band. Originally formed in 2004 by guitarist Joe Territo, the band now consists of vocalist Rick McDonald, drummer Rick Baker and bassist Joe Scrivo. They get their Texas blues shuffle moving on the tracks "Eighty Lady" and "You're Not in Town" pay homage to the working class Joe on "21st Century Workman's Blues" and lay down a slow blues cooker on "Send Me Your Love". Make sure to check out the track "Buffalo Is Still My Home" an ode to the Queen City that the convention and tourism folks should be using in their advertising. You can find The JT Blues Band on the web at

“Run Right Into The Blues” is an upbeat tune with a catchy chorus which revisits some of the icons of the blues – “I saw a Red House yonder, I swear the sky was crying; passed right by the crossroads, I saw Mr Johnson flying” – is quite a clever lyric, one of the best songs on the album.
