Bio

In the summer of 2003, virtuoso rock guitarist Jack Evans decided to put down his Playstation joypad and pick up his guitars for an all out assault on London’s live music scene! He enlisted the help of his long time mates John Lucas (bass) and Martin Clough (drums) and went in search for singer/songwriter to help turn the bluesy, funked, sexed, classic rock sounds they were making into songs. After a long and arduous search where many pointless pints were bought, eardrums bruised and rampant egos deflated, the boys found the man for the job. Step forward Kuwaiti born Indo-Portuguese Jay Serrao, a gifted musician with a powerhouse voice who had OD’d on a diet of the many classic rock Gods and Robert Johnson. The boys clicked, The Juice was formed.

The band started gigging in January 2004 and was an instant success on London’s live music circuit. After John Lucas's departure citing the need to get a degree and a few part-time bassists which included bass genius Sunil Andrews (The Now & Ian de Sylva) and Nick ‘slap-bass funketeer’ Wright to help the band continue gigging, bluesy riff man Tim Blostone signed up to complete The Juice’s latest incarnation.
Their independently funded, brand new album 'BLOOD FOR WATER', digitally released worldwide in April 2007, was eagerly received by fans spanning the globe, citing tracks such as Stolen Generation, Shooting Stars & Catch My Drift? for particular praise. Some of the reviews are -

'Singer Jay has a voice that could curdle milk with its power'

'The Juice seemed to be a band that would be more at home on a festival stage and if there is any justice in the world it shall not be too long before this is the case'

'Never before has a band had a standing ovation for a mere sound check but on August 14th, 2004 that is what happened in our club'

‘An incredible album that rocks from the start! Amazing riffs & chunky bass’

‘WARNING the talent that oozes from this band can be overwhelming for the amateur listener. Can’t wait for more JUICE!’

The Juice are currently looking for Management/Label support to help showcase their music to newer audiences. Watch out for this band and when you see them………….…………………Say ‘Joooooooooooooooooooooooooos’
