The Justice League of Jazz were born in 2008 in Brighton after four friends met at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music and discovered they shared a passion for modern and contemporary jazz, soul and funk music. They evolved into a vibrant acid-jazz band characterised by innovative combinations of old school genres with contemporary stylings.
Hywel's soulful vocal delivery is distinctive and original, while his playful, flamboyant presence makes him the perfect front man. Rob's technical deftness creates a rich melodic and harmonic spectrum, whilst Chris's catchy and punchy bass lines combine with Grahams powerful rhythmic grooves to complete a captivating line up.
The Justice League of Jazz have paid their dues and set out to prove themselves as the most eclectic acid-jazz band currently active in Brighton town. Currently evolving with the addition of two new members, they are preparing for the rebirth of The Justice League of Jazz.
