Bio
The Kax formed in 2003 in Los Angeles. Since then, they‘ve played countless shows in LA’s best venues such as The Viper Room, The Spaceland or The Troubadour.
The Kax released their self titled debut album late 2007. Their first release stands out. Both retro and modern, it is reminiscent of early U2, Gang of Four, Elvis Costello and Bloc Party.
LA’s premiere Rock station, Indie 103.1 plays regularly Kax songs "So do We", "Summertime Daze" and "The Light" on Check One...Two, a show that profiles LA’s hottest new bands.
The trio, composed of Justin Clay (vocals, guitar), Stephan Versini (bass) and Andrew Grant (drums) delivers a captivating and fresh post-punk signature sound.
Recorded on tape, the album was produced and engineered by Scott Gilman and features two songs performed with singer/songwriter Sierra Swan.
Recently, the band’s songs have been heard on MTV’s hit TV show The Hills and featured in extreme sports videos.
The Kax debut album is now available for download on iTunes and most online record stores.
