Kaye’s Root’s Rhythm and Blues Show is a sizzling two-part original performance. The First set is influenced by the jump swing and Chicago Blues of the 1940’s & 50’s. The second set is full of funky old school rhythm and blues from the 60’s and 70’s. Complete with era specific costumes, Kaye keeps her fans on the dance floor swinging and rocking the night away. Kaye is frequently compared to Tina Turner, Janis Joplin and Bette Midler as an entertainer. She works very hard to engage & captivate her audience with her sexy wit, charisma and her authentic style. The Kaye Bohler Band has a raw but “arrangement heavy” sound influenced by everyone from T-Bone Walker, Ruth Brown, Albert King, Marvin Gay, Aretha Franklin & Etta James. Kaye Bohler is the singer, songwriter and bandleader whose songwriting crosses over from straight Chicago blues, to Al Green influenced R&B, to funk and swing. Her show can be completely original or cross over to the familiar tunes of the great R& B icons of the past.
