THE STORY SO FAR ....
Its been two long years since the Irish music industry chewed up one of the counties most exhilarating punk rock bands and spat it out on the tip heap battered and bruised.
Following hundreds of live shows and festivals both here and in the US supporting the likes of Rancid, the Buzzcocks, Lars Frederiksen, Tiger Army to name but a few, countless radio and TV appearances and an acclaimed debut single The Jury under their arm The Keds eventually came to a grinding halt in 2004 after eight successful years together.
Their defeat came as a blow to The Keds loyal fans, fellow musicians/bands and respected music industry movers who all believed in this tight melodic and hard rocking foursome.
However, diehard musicians will know its not that easy to walk away from your passion and within a year of separating all four original members of The Keds were back writing and rehearsing together.
The following 12 months proved to be the most productive period in years for The Keds during which time they discovered new found inspiration and a more mature sound to best represent their individual styles and influences.
After a solid year of being locked up in a small rehearsal studio in their hometown of Drogheda and numerous trips to the studio in 2005/2006 The Keds are finally ready to come out from the shadows and make their eagerly awaited comeback.
Armed with an exciting new album, a new sound, new attitude and new determination The Keds are destined to reinstate their position as one of Irelands most promising, entertaining and talented bands.
