Bio

Kevin has been living and breathing music for most of his life, both as a solo artist, as well as working with different bands in the central CT and Albany, NY areas.

From 1999-2001, Kevin sang lead vocals and played lead guitar for an Albany based band, Anhedonia. Anhedonia played several venues over the Albany area, getting known by their fans for songs Kevin penned with Anhedonia, such as the epic "Maybe Tomorrow", honest ballads such as "Hey Little Girl" and "2000 Miles", and other Anhedonia member-contributed songs, such as "Lettered Stone", "D", and "Story of Love and Hate."

After parting ways with Anhedonia in early 2001, Kevin moved back to the central CT area, where he focused on being a solo artist. In doing so, he released the self-produced EP titled Masters, in late 2004. A completely acoustic endeavor, the EP was a diary-driven emotional roller coaster with memorable songs such as "Chasing Your Ghost", "Last Words", "Bittersweet", and a completely re-written "2000 Miles".

In 2006, Kevin began to work in creating a full band, and another full album recording. In doing so, he brought in Mark Bernacki, Tommy Mazza, Sam Engman, and James MacKay as co-collaborators for the now disbanded band, The Hartford Wailers. In the meantime, Kevin recorded enough material for two full albums, "A Work In Progress, Volumes 1 and 2".

In this double disc, Kevin recorded everything from some straight forward, power rock songs like "KCKPM" and "The Grand Facade", to more honest, heart driven tunes "Anyway", "Walk this Road", and "Don’t Forget", to more Americana folk-driven songs like "Big Easy", "Barely Scraping By", and "Ned Kelly".

In support of this most recent album, Kevin has been playing all over the state of CT for the last two years, bringing his different brand of music to anyone who will listen. In doing so, he has gained the support of many listeners and fans, who have driven him to keep playing and writing for many years to come.

Kevin has most recently been a regular @ the Main Pub in Manchester, where he can be heard testing out many of his originals. Kevin has also been re-tooling his band line-up and is looking to collaborate with artists of all genres and likes.

This Past holiday (2007), Kevin began working with the extremely talented JL Claybourne (drums- Brian Jarvis Band), Tony Volpe (lead guitar), and re-enlisted an old friend in Mark Bernacki (bass) to fill out the ranks of the now known Kevin Howard Band. The Kevin Howard Band has since played many of the local original venues, such as Up or on the Rocks, The Main Pub, The Hungry Tiger, Sullys, sharing the stage with great bands and regional favorites such as Rane, The Josh Dion Band, Kenny Mehler, The Brian Jarvis Band, and David Cain.

Kevin has also completed working with Alan Veniscofsky (Rane, Suji Faithful) from Tides Records on getting a 6 song EP due out October 18th, 2008, titled "Far from Grace".
