The Kill Gene formed in Toms River, NJ when drummer George “Huzzy” Hatzinikitas and guitarist Dave Kaminiski decided they wanted to add a new sound to the metal scene. With their musical influences each coming from different genres, they decided to combine their love for hardcore, punk, and metal. They sought out musicians who shared their vision and reconnected with a high school friend, bassist Josh Roman. Soon after that they came into contact with guitarist Dave Lisowski, and finally added vocalist Dave Boland. Dave B’s deep screaming vocals compliment Dave K’s singing vocals creating a sound that NJ metal fans immediately swallowed up.
