Most people would say they walk the line between rock and country, but they just call it Texas music. But what else could they play....
Wes Pitzer and Greg Altuna got together in a successful touring rock band in the '90's and have been playing together off and on ever since. When Wes decided it was time to start a new band, he recruited Joe Rosenthal for the bass duties. Having worked with his old band Lap Dog, he knew he would be a perfect fit. Alex Maples was the last piece of the puzzle, but getting him on-board was tricky. He was already playing in several local and touring bands, including the great Paul Slavens band. But he did join, and the rest as they say is history.
Combining the best of song-writer rock and alt-country with a rock attitude, The Killhawks are not your everyday band. The music is intelligent AND rocking, something missing from most bands these days. And The Killhawks wouldn't have it any other way.
