Bio

The four twenty-somethings formed The Kingmob about a year and a half ago, and have been rehearsing and recording continuously ever since... and playing a few gigs here and there.

Their songs vary in style, and their sound could be compared to anything from The Walkmen to The Stranglers to Sonic Youth to Galxie 500. It's fair to say that no two songs of theirs are that alike, but at the same time they have managed to perfect their own sound.

Influences range from DIIV, Grizzly Bear, Blur, Wire, Radiohead (post 2000), Cold Pumas and David Bowie.

Their recordings manage to have a rawness and energy to them, whilst also including some interesting sounds and effects, giving them an unusual mixture of old-school-lo-fi and up-to-date production.

Live, they have passion, volume and energy but still manage to remain tight as a band.
