Bio

At the core of this versatile, sweet sounding band is the Brother/Sister duo of Jeff & Melissa King. The pair have been harmonizing together for a lifetime, and professionally for nearly 10 years. More recently, the group has grown to a five piece powerhouse of talented, experienced musicians. They have an ever growing list of 20+ catchy original tunes; as well as a stockpile of about 200 covers to fall back on depending on the occasion.
The band is based out of Springfield, MA; and throughout the last few years they've played many of the clubs and bars in the surrounding area, as well as the occasional road trip. More recently the band has been leaning toward playing more festivals and events such as the "Wormtown Music Festivals", or the "Taste of West Springfield" they played this year.
The best thing about a Kings show is that they keep you guessing, "What are they going to do next??" Between the great quality sound, the eclectic set list, and the onstage theatrics; the Kings present a show that becomes very hard to leave. The band legitimately pulls off styles of reggae, funk, blues, swing, r&b, country, and rock & roll. Like the weather in New England, the set is changing every five minutes; perfect for today's ADD audience.
The band can also be versatile in their instrumentation; breaking off into solo or duo/acoustic groups for smaller or more intimate shows. Often the band will start the show acoustic, and seamlessly segue into what becomes a bangin' dance party. Whether they're playing Bob Marley or Merle Haggard; Janis Joplin or Joss Stone; Gretchen Wilson or The Grateful Dead; The Kings keeps you moving with a tight band and a tight show that keeps you guessing.
The Kings also have a unique warm, inviting personality that comes through in their music. Everyone has a great time at their shows, and they do well in front of nearly any audience- young or old; urban or rural. A great band for any event.
