Bio
The King Stan Band is a Colorado-based rhythm and blues favorite since 2007. Headed by soulful blues-legend “King Stan” Stroman, the band provides a unique blend of 60’s soul and rocking blues. Stan’s background includes touring and collaborations with R & B greats such as Wilson Pickett, Junior Walker, Clarence Carter, Greg Allman, The Staple Singers and many more. Stan has a unique ability to make the audience part of the show; reminiscing about past tours, venues such as the Apollo Theater, and jamming with some of the great names in the music industry.
The band’s rhythms are provided by Mark Marusin on drums and bass player John “Machine Gun” Gallagher. John’s resume includes many bands including stints with Al Martino, Bobby Vinton, and Bobby Sherman. Lead guitar is handled by Ted “Guitar” Loughry who was recently featured in Guitar Player magazine. New to the band are keyboard master Jimmy Calanni and sax wizard Michael DelNegro.
The King Stan Band is not your sit back and listen blues band. They are a chest pounding freight train that leaves most crowds breathless from dancing the night away. The band’s first CD “I’m Leave’n this Town” is available from many fine establishments including ITunes and Amazon.
