Bio

The Kite Theory started out in the spring of 2009, when icelandic guitarist and singer/songwriter David Stefansson met Thomas Redder, a Copenhagen based singer/songwriter. At this point in time David and Thomas were mostly playing coversongs at local bars and parties around Copenhagen. Approximately one year later they decided to start playing their own songs, and a new collaboration began.

Both David and Thomas had previously been experimenting with songwriting, which they started mixing together, each contributing to eachothers songs. After a few nights of guitars and beers, the first few songs were coming together and were presented to the public on local bars as well as the streets of Copenhagen. Realizing that the songs weren't reaching their full potential with only two guitars, David and Thomas decided to start looking for new additions to the "band".

In the spring of 2011 drummer Benjamin Randbøll and bass player Lasse Vistisen joined the band and the four started recording the first few demos as a band.

The Kite Theory aims to spread important messages along with good melodies to the listeners and are planning the release of their first album in the spring of 2012.
