"FNP 2"

“A few weeks ago, The Knolly Moles were bouncing off the walls in Cafe Nola, an hour before their show there. "They're always like this," Greg Baughman said, who, at 29, is the oldest band member, acts as the ring leader at times. They play Cafe Nola fairly regularly. Friday, they'll play Memories in Mount Airy, and Saturday, they'll perform at the Cellar Door in Frederick. Next month, they'll hit Bentz Street with Troutzilla and Old Indian, promoted by DJ Babylon. The name Knolly Moles started as a joke, not surprisingly, about two years ago, and it stuck. “The FredRock Music and Arts Festival on Monday, Dec. 27, features 24 bands performing from noon to midnight, plus visual artists displaying their work. The grassroots festival showcases a wide array of local talent. "The D.I.Y. aspect of the show has always been there from the beginning," local musician Kenny Eaton stated in an email. "Instead of seeking out a booking agent or event organizer like some production companies do, I run every aspect of the show myself with the help of friends and families. ... The musicians promote themselves and the artists promote themselves. That's the only way these festivals have succeeded." Local visual artists will run booths during the show to exhibit and sell their artwork. "Our goal at FredRock is to completely surround showgoers with beauty -- both through bands' performances and by visual art," Eaton said. Bands include the Knolly Moles, Radiolab, Brian Severn and Those Victorious, Echoes in Color, Marigold, General Ripper, and several others.”

The Knolly Moles are an accomplished alternative, jazz, ska band from Frederick Maryland.
Their sound is drawing in diverse crowds of dance happy fans, and it is really no surprise.

The band started out in October of 2010 with it's 3 members Ej Atkins (Guitar and Vocals),
Matt John (Guitar) and Greg Baughman (Percussion), then adding Brad Newman (bass) and
Joe Hatcher (Trumpet) a few months later. With over 28 original songs and tons of covers, their
sets continue to bring an eclectic, acoustic, dance party feel at every show. Currently they have
taken Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia by storm, and plan to follow their cloud of popularity
wherever it will take them. Band managers Greg Baughman and Greg Baughman Sr represent
The Knolly Moles and several other talented acts that are rapidly rising in acclaim.

Numerous articles have been published in response to the wave The Knolly Moles have
created. On January 27th of 2011 The Frederick News Post Published an article with amazing
pictures of their performance at Cafe Nola in Downtown Frederick. In that article you can
pin point the overall daffy yet artistic collective mind of the band. They have also had several
mentions in other press outlets such as Towson Tiger News, Frederick News Blog, Shepherdstown
Radio and 98 Rock Noise in the Basement.
