"......"The Vision" draws the journalist deep in and causes a change. Sing-Sing like in swirl, this dark and moody piece opens with some electric synth keyboard trickery as the song rushes over you like a hot shot. Ultra cool guitar work is the backbone to some diabolic deep lyrics. Dark wave deluxe. Stark bare bones heighten the rush.
"Brother" sports an in the pocket snare shake throughout, soulful grove bass lines, and a guitar line that is straight out of the Kenny Withrow how to school. Dark demure vocals formulate from the throat of Maha, whom also handles guitar proficencies. The last bars of this offering feature some fabulos frantic distortion plus fuzz riffs. Makes you warm and well, fuzzy.
"Don’t Want You" slinks into your saucy world, spooky start, then trips it up. Up hip tempo with that damn catchy guitar run. Relationship gone bad, attitude gone good... Instruments raw and on their own, blend to create light. Chill to the new boheimia."

"The Kut will really take you by surprise. They are on Criminal Records which, is the best record label name ever and hail from South East London. The Kut bring a lot to the table, they have elements of indie, straight up rock and even a touch of dub. The first track “Brother” will crab you with its soulful bass line and enticing vocals. “Don’t Want You” has a bit of pop flair to it. It is an up-tempo song with a lot of pomp and attitude. The Kut are a very interesting prospect, these demos show a lot of promise in the band and really can’t wait to hear more. 8/10 "

Having recently sold out their 'Love Hate Vampire Shotgun System Circus' UK Tour, The Kut are fast becoming a known act on the UK independent music circuit. Their recent music video 'Closure' was playlisted on the NME TV Radar Playlist, highlighting the best of new music videos from new and established acts. This is in addition to playlisting on Sub TV, featuring in student unions around the UK, as well as Tuune TV, the screens of Scream Pubs and selection for Greatest Hits channel.
Frontwoman, lead guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, Maha has been reviewed as a Slash/Linda Perry hybrid and The Kut's original sound has earned them some growing attention in the UK as well as in the US. This year Maha secured an endorsement deal with Marshall Amplification, making her one of the only females in the UK to have their seal of approval. The bands headline show at The Garage London, sold out within just 7 hours, marking the start of good times for The Kut. Previously the band performed as main support at the 25th Anniversary of London's People Day, a festival that attracts over 30,000 people each year.
Their self-recorded 'The Vision' demo received a great deal of attention, and before The Kut set foot in a studio they gained the support of a massive amount of reviewers and radio stations. However, after spending time in the studio, the band released their debut single 'Doesn't Matter Anyway'. Doesn't Matter Anyway is a choppy indie rock floor filler and was well received all round, picking up support from BBC Radio 1 Introducing, BBC Radio Tees and achieving playlist on over 30 FM stations in the UK and into the hundreds worldwide. The recent UK tour was well received by fans and interviewers alike. The singles provides a snippet of what is to come when The Kut finally unveil the eagerly awaited debut album, 'Lies My Mother Told Me'.
