Bio

The Lacks are not your average band…

Worship, writing, recording and performing were the themes of this household. Mom (Paula) and Dad (Scott) were playing at coffee houses, youth groups and other venues while the girls (Deborah and Rebekah) were singing as loud as they could from the front row. A few years later, Rebekah, at age eight, picked up the drumsticks and discovered an instant talent on the drums. Then Deborah, at fourteen, filled in on bass guitar for a Christmas party and hasn’t put it down since. From then on they were a “Family” band, leading worship for their church.

Then things got even more interesting…the Lacks had lived in Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana, and made a huge move to California where they worked in a ministry as youth pastors/worship leaders. That’s when it happened, during that time they were invited to play at various events and venues as a “Family Band”…keep in mind, Scott grew up on classic rock, playing riffs from Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Boston, the Eagles, Nirvana, etc… so their style didn’t fit the Family Band sound, and everywhere they performed people were amazed at the energy and drive of their music. So was born “the Lacks”.

Currently, the Lacks write, record, and perform regionally and nationally while residing in Indianapolis with their now family of six, one guy and five girls…(which is why they take an offering at every show:) not really…) with the addition of the up and coming new band members (daughters), Sarah (11) and Chloe (6). The Lacks have a mission…to spread the good news to all who will listen! Every song, every concert, and every encounter they have, share the same goal…to show the life and love of Jesus Christ through everything they do.
