"thelastplaceyoulook has become that band, the one that rips you out of your confusion and makes you feel like things matter, like you matter, like the music matters. thelastplaceyoulook makes me want to play that music, to burn with that same kind of fire again. And if these guys feel like they're all alone now, I'm predicting they won't be for long." spacecityrock.com - Space City Rock
"With powerhouse guitars, hard-driving vocals, and a pocketful of rock 'n roll, indie-rock band thelastplaceyoulook bring a refreshing light to the now-dimly-lit rock scene. Nava's voice through the album is light-heartedly melodic without losing its power. Bassist Kevin Pool adds to the mix by hitting some super-high harmonies that are so impressive that they border on unnatural. The guitar work is absolutely enormous. Richard Sherwood and Derek Young's layer upon layer of detuned guitars mixed in with what must be a couple of baritones make for an impressive redefinition of grunge. Paired with Andy Moths's loud and staccato drum beats, it makes this album rock harder than anything you hear on the radio these days." AudioADD.net - Audio ADD
Lead singer Nava still boasts gut-busting vocal power, but TLPYL refined its sound on this disc. The songs are cleaner, sharper and more accessible than previous recordings
(thanks in part to solid work from producer Will Hoffman). Don't Make It So Easy has an anthemic charge, and I Know You Think Nobody Cares seems poised to explode but never does. Instead, it remains a lovely piano ballad. Band To Save Me is also as gorgeous a pop song as you'll hear on Top 40 radio. - The Houston Chronicle ( Joey Guerra )

See the Light Inside You
"A cohesive opus full of fist-pumping anthems, where yearning vocals meet heavy guitar riffs, scale-shredding solos and beat-you-into-the-ground drums, Light leaves no doubt TLPYL can go toe-to-toe with aggro chartbusters like Shinedown or Theory of a Deadman. Listen up." Houston Press
