"THE WARRIOR"

Soldiers from Camp Loyalty turned out in masses at the Independence Day Talent Show put on by MWR at Loyalty Theater July 3, 2005.
Building on the success of the Memorial Day Talent Show, this one featured 19 acts that ranged from the sublime to the ridiculous.
Soldiers were treated to original rap and folk rock, as well as a number of covers, Opera, African dance and an interprtive movement piece were among the acts.
In the solo act catergory, Staff Sgt. MacArthur Wilson (The Legendary WillyMac), won first place for a blistering performance that had the crowd jumping in the aisles. His performance earned him first place overall.

Bio

Born in Dothan, Alabama, and raised in Campbellton, Florida, The Legendary WillyMac introduces to the music industry one of the most unique voices since Robert Johnson, Al Green, Ceelo and many more influential singers. By the age of ten, WillyMac became a songwriter/artist and began performing talent shows, and other public events. As a teenager, he won the hearts of many with his live onstage performances which added a twist of comedy, r&b, hip hop, and blues. He joined the United States Army shortly after graduating high school and completed two successful tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom. In August, 2006, WillyMac recorded his first professional song, "Savannah", produced by Ant Banks in Atlanta Georgia and continued to work with many more producers, Keshawn Adams, Spiracy, and G-Fat (360 Studios), and list goes on. In November, 2007, WillyMac moved to Tallahassee Florida and began working with Explosion Entertainment in which he became very close friends with several members from the orignal group NAPPY HEADS, (T-Pain's group in Tallahassee), and another local artist Brian Burney, in which Willy later gave him the name "Sugga Bear", because he had a charming way with the ladies. Both artist realized they brought creativity to their music while working together so they decided to refer to their sound as "Soul/Jive. While working with various artist in Tallahassee Florida, WillyMac continued to travel the east coast and promote his music to D.J.' s, club owners, radio stations, and internet. WillyMac also worked close with independent record labels 581 Musik Group (Jagged Edge), Empire Records (Phoenix Az), Down For The Crown Records (Savannah Ga), and has opened for artists, Naughty By Nature, L.L. Cool J, 69 Boyz, T-Pain, J.T. Money, and Trick Daddy. The Legendary WillyMac has become a household name in the south but his music can be heard throughout the United States and his dedication and hard work is finally paying off.
