Bio

The Letter 3 is a funk/rock group out of Tuscaloosa, Al. It was formed when guitarist Jonny Milling and bassist Jordan Abbett began collaborating music in the winter of 2008. They were later joined by guitarist David Moore, percussionist Ryan Mayfield and vocalist Joshua Mickler. Once fully formed in spring 2009 the band began heavily focusing on original songs. They were determined to write and record music that was not the status quo of the local arena. It came through months of practice aided by the varying musical tastes and backgrounds of all five members. The band played their first show in October of 2009 and have had regular dates ever since. Taking time off to record a 9 song original demo produced by “cousin” Alan Blazick in March of 2010 and continuing to play shows directly after. In late 2011 the band began to record their debut album at Renilk studios. The album,"TL3", was released locally to critical acclaim. The band is now looking to expand their horizons and have their music heard by the masses.
