The Lickers

The Lickers

 Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
BandAlternativeRock

We are 3 women and 1 man who joined forces to create a local "semi-supergroup" in Indy, a group that can hang with almost any bill/line-up we're with. Alternative, punk and rock influences fit into our sound. Simple, and to the point.

Biography

The Lickers started in late 2011, gathering members from the Indianapolis punk rock music scene. Hailing from the bands God Made Robots, Dirty Little Secrets and NowhereGoodFast, Jane, Jen, Scott and Gwen came together to write songs that couldn't be defined by just one genre- punk, alternative, and rock fit into the blend. 2012 saw the band emerge onto the local Indy music scene with their release of the "Six Tits and A Dick" demo (recorded by Jim Kuczkowski from The Slurs), as well as a major win at the PunkRockNight.com annual awards for "Best New Band".

The Lickers sound and influences can be described (possibly) as the following: Nirvana meets Babes in Toyland meets Elastica meets anything from the punk rock vaults.

The bands first full-length album comes out on September 13, 2014, and four of those tracks can be found on our song page.
