The Light Brigade

The Light Brigade

The Light Brigade emerged from Los Angeles's mythical Laurel Canyon in the summer of 2010. Inspired by the canyon's classic sounds, Brigade founders Tim Mosher and Stoker sought to capture that universally understood groove, interpreted through their singular writing style. Acoustic guitars, narrative songwriting, and simple, to-the-point style: this everything-old-is-new-again sound makes the Light Brigade's newest songs feel like old friends from the first listen.

Tim Mosher began his musical career as the singer and songwriter for Broken Glass (Chrysalis Records), and later performed as songwriter and guitarist for Suckerpunch (510/MCA Records). He has written with a variety of artists including: Fred Schneider (B’52s), Steve Jones (Sex Pistols), The Chelsea Smiles, and Junkyard.

From Birmingham, England, Stoker has an extensive background in writing. production, engineering and recording, but prior to his production career, Stoker achieved notoriety as a drummer in many well-known UK bands. Stoker's credits as a drummer include stints with Dexy's Midnight Runners.

As a producer, Stoker's accomplishments include work with Sting. In 1995 he produced the 6.4 million selling international hit single "Baby Come Back" By Pato Banton with Robin and Ali Campbell of UB40.

Tim Mosher and Stoker crossed paths as recording artist and producer respectively for the band Suckerpunch (510/MCA Records).

Combining their experience in music as writers, producers and musicians, Tim Mosher and Stoker ventured into the world of television and commercial music.

In the time they’ve been working together they have composed music for dozens of television shows and commercials and recently founded The Light Brigade, an old-meets-new take on folk-rock, with the help of John Thomas Griffitth (Cowboy Mouth) on guitar and Bruce Witkin on bass.
