Bio
The Light Parade is an Indie-Alternative band from The Hague.
The band’s story starts in 2010 when singer Erik was eager to start a project that would go musically beyond to what was conventional and widespread within the scene. Being inspired by the poem The Charge of The Light Brigade by Alfred, Lord Tennyson, the disastrous but resolute cognition has urged him to take a chance and start an independent band named The Light Parade.
What seemed to be against long odds at first has later turned out to be worth his while. By the end of 2010, the band was fully established when Erik was joined by Ronald (keys), Bouke (guitar), Cheryl (bass) and Sander (drums). Ever since they started writing songs together, the quintet has developed a detached sound with expressive vocals dominated by melodic and sometimes heavyhearted tunes that are paired with massive synths, beats and assertive guitar riffs.
The Band is aiming to present their songs to widespread audiences and to establish a reputable name in The Hague and surroundings.
The Light Parade are:
Erik (Vocals)
Ronald (Keyboard)
Bouke (Guitar)
Cheryl (Bass)
Sander (Drums)
