"Fun to listen to, easy to remember, The Limbs are a band to hear. With only one musician, I am sure it is a great show to watch. Rocking guitar leads really drive the music, and the vocals complete the sound. They have a wide variety of styles that they play making them a great band in many applications. A fun listen, and I cant wait to see the live performance." - College of Arts & Media A & R Dept.

Bio

As a live band (act), The Limbs truly defy the senses. When you hear The Limbs, you understand that good songwriting is the focus. When you see The Limbs, you may not believe your eyes, and may ask yourself (and wouldn't be the first) "How can this be? How is all of this sound coming from just that one guy?" It usually takes a couple of Limbs performances for music fans to assimilate what they've just seen and heard. I've often been told by fans that they "just can't believe it". Listen for yourself, then come out to a Limbs show.

As a performing songwriter, I have always put the song first, serving it with the best arrangement and, following the examples of my personal favorites (Tom Waits, Prince, Van Morrison, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, among others), with the best musicians I could find. I had never intended on being a 'one man band', and prefer to think of myself as a performing songwriter, and the presentation of the songs reflects this.

At this point in the evolution of The Limbs, especially live, it's almost impossible to visualize a guy with a guitar singing a song and tapping his feet. The Limbs 'format' at this stage in my songwriting career lends itself and the music to a slamming rock powerhouse, so that's what The Limbs brings. Not to deny anyone the slow jams, I do have a varied, ever-changing and eclectic repertoire. My songs range anywhere from country to death metal (see audio- "March From L"), from southern rock (see audio- "You Take The Trash Out") to rhythm and blues, soul, punk, and even classical.

I am aware of the energy exchange that happens between a performer and their audience, and I like to keep The Limbs live shows spontaneous, and often call an entire set off the cuff. This leaves me room to feel an audience out and adjust in the moment. If it's a mellow room, I got mellow. Mostly I give 'em the rock though, because I like to keep The Limbs shows upbeat and a little wild. Sometimes I get the audience into a position where they're ready for something like "The Saw" (see audio- "The Saw"), and it knocks them out.

I am quite prolific when it comes to writing songs. A classically trained guitarist from the age of five, there was hardly a time in my life when I don't remember hearing melodies, rhythms, even full orchestrations in my head. Versed in many instruments, I have recorded many records, solo and with groups, and have been priviledged to share the stage with artists as varied as Richie Havens, Hypnotic Clambake, and That 1 Guy.

The Limbs is the best band I have ever been in.
