Biography

“I’m disappointed that I wasn’t on them to earlier but now I know all about The Little Sisters…” Denise Hylands -Twang -TripleRfm
A Melbourne-based outfit celebrating a long tradition of female vocal harmony, The Little Sisters is fronted by multi-instrumentalists Julie Connolly, Teresa Dixon, and Lucy Rash. The trio and their musical accomplices have come a long way since their formation in July 2010. Having graced venues all over Australia and shared the stage with some of Australia's most exciting up and coming alt-country bands, The Little Sisters have been highly praised for the richness of their vocal harmonies and the depth of their songwriting talent.
From the warm reminiscence of "Dirt Track Girl" to the tongue-in-cheek get up of "My House", this five-track debut release showcases a mutual dedication to the grit and beauty of traditional country-blues.

Incorporating influences from each of the members' varied musical backgrounds, this Melbourne country-folk trio produce performances that are equal parts warming, daring and danceable.
