"Review"

"Four heartily harmonizing teen-girl siblings from central Pennsylvania, Dominique, Olivia, Jillian and Gabriela do a surprisingly clear, catchy, and far from ascetic take on wide-open-spaces ready-to-run pop-country on both last year's demo EP and their new self-released album. 'Healing the world one song at a time,' their website says, 'they write songs that encourage good values and positive messages.' Non-secular? You decide."

"Concert Preview"

"The Little Women Band has many people buzzing that they’re the industry’s “next big thing”, in large part because of their rare ability to captivate NYC audiences with music that includes country as an influence. The band consists of four sisters, aged 14 to 20, who write their own material, play their own instruments and sing scorching leads and well-crafted harmonies."

'An amazing group of sister ages 14-20 comprise 'The Little Women Band' - they are phenomenal singer-songwriters and are being produced by Valentin who has remixed Britney Spears (etc) are being courted by several labels - they are on both the Country and Americana shows!' - Inside the Music Business

Bio

Named for the Louisa May Alcott novel whose story line bears an uncanny resemblance to their own lives, the band grew up in the Pennsylvania countryside, bonding as a creative unit by producing plays and making movies in addition to singing and playing music. The Chester Springs Actors Troupe, the local theater they formed in 1997, gained regional respect and a loyal following over the four years they spent on it before their family moved to New York City.

Despite their youth, the band already has an impressive resume. At nine, Jillian was cast as the co-lead alongside Kenny Rogers in a Broadway musical called “Christmas From the Heart”, sponsored by Hallmark. In the five-year national tour that followed, all four sisters sang, danced, and acted in the production. Jillian was featured on TNN’s Prime Time Country in 1999, performing a duet from the show with Rogers. In 2000, at twelve, she added to her early achievements with her first Billboard chart success, “Keep Mom and Dad in Love”, a trio featuring Jillian, Suzy Bogguss and Billy Dean. In January of 2004, The Little Women Band appeared on the CBS Morning Show.

Olivia, who routinely writes 3-4 new songs per week, is currently participating in the elite ASCAP Songwriters workshop by special invitation. Her writing for the band has earned her accolades and numerous invitations to showcase in songwriter circles around New York City. She has single-handedly penned a body of quality work for the band that is dozens of songs deep and keeps their live shows fresh with the new and unexpected.

For the past five years, the girls have concentrated much of their efforts on appearing regularly at elementary and junior high schools in order to build a solid fan base of young people who will grow with their music, and to fulfill their goal to serve as a positive role model for their generation.

The Little Women Band’s loyal and growing fan base have helped them graduate from coffeehouses, schools, weddings and outdoor fairs and festivals to the well-known New York City clubs they now appear at regularly, like Joe’s Pub, The Bitter End, Piano's and CB’s Gallery. They are currently in the studio with Valentin, a producer known for his radio appeal and pop craftsmanship.
