The Living Sample

Fronted by internationally-renowned drum 'n bass MCs Armanni Reign and Sharpness MC (Photek/TEKDBZ, Goldie, Metalheadz), The Living Sample are the trailblazers of the new wave of hip hop. The brainchild of bassist Adam “Jazzface” Todaro (Kevin Yost Group), The Living Sample combines the innovation of Golden Age with the raw grittiness of contemporary hip hop, and the heady grooves of acid jazz with razor-sharp synths, acknowledging hip hop's history while pushing the genre fearlessly into the future. Keyboardist/vocalist Anam Owili-Eger, drummer Andy Meyer, and turntablist DJ Rockwell round out the group, vital elements in the band's distinctive electro-organic sound.

Also known as hip hop duo Mental Sharp, MCs Armanni Reign and Sharpness have been a constant presence in the world of electronic music. Their musical accomplishments have taken them across the world from London to Dubai, including appearances at The Global Gathering Festival in the UK, Electric Daisy Carnival in Los Angeles, Winter Music Festival in Miami and many others.
