As we arrived, there was a small local band playing, which unfortunately we didn't really catch as we headed through to the main room whilst The Logues were playing their fantastic Irish folk music which was great fun to watch and be a part of. They were a 5 piece band and were expertly keeping the whole audience entertained. They performed a couple of familiar numbers, but generally played all their own music. - www.gigreviewer.com

Bio
The Logues are five culchies from Co. Tyrone who play music. To be more exact, their style has been described as 'folk/rock', 'drinking music' and ’whiskey-soaked folk’ to name a few.
Made up of drums, bass, acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo, tin whistle and vocals, The Logues have been bringing their folk-rock circus to audiences throughout the north and south of Ireland and parts of the UK since St. Patrick's Day 2006, when they formed for what was supposed to be a one off gig as part of a drunken promise. Since then however, the gig offers just kept coming and in the last couple of years have played at spots at various Irish festivals (Donegal Town Festival, Mary of Dungloe and the upcoming Ballyshannon Folk Festival to name but a few), performances with such bands as The Saw Doctors, The Dublin City Ramblers, Tommy Tiernan and Brendan Grace and they were even invited to be part of the official Pogues aftershow party which was held in Brixton, London at Christmas 2009.
In July 2011, The Logues released their debut album ‘Tough at the Bottom’, a collection of 11 original songs which is now available for download on iTunes or to buy at their gigs. ‘Tough at the Bottom’ is a semi-concept album based on drinking. Part autobiographical, part satire, the album explores house parties, being in love with mentally unstable women, being a culchie and even the literature of Flann O’Brien.
