the lone pilgrims

After moving to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, we became inspired to write songs about the mountains, the people, the traditions. Our first song "piece of the mountain" was in response to the spectacle of a mountainside gouged out to make homes. We have been writing songs about our experiences ever since. Our heartfelt response, at times humorous, at times nostalgic, is captured in the lyrics and melodies of our songs. The songs are delivered in a straightforward acoustic folk style. We perform several traditional songs and have written some Gospel songs as well. We have performed live at the Shindig on the Green in Asheville, the True Nature Country Fair and the Heritage Weekend at the NC Arboretum.
