"Seattle Weekly"

"A trio who've gone from playing basements to entertaining a sold-out Neumo's crowd in just over a year, the Long Ranger are a smoldering Basement Jaxx to U.S.E.'s Daft Punk." - Rachel Shimp

"Neumos Live Show Review"

"At first glance, The Long Ranger didn’t seem like much. Their instruments consisted of an electric guitar and an Apple laptop computer. Once the music started, however, my ears were treated with a techno-rock sound that isn’t comparable to anything I have heard in my life.' 'They began their set with a song called 2by2. I was completely hooked after the first few notes. During the song Rollerskates, the lead singer proceeded to break dance on stage with what little space he had.' 'I strongly recommend looking into The Long Ranger. Especially considering they are the best techno band since Daft Punk." - www.mercurialsound.com

"Three Imaginary Girls"

"You really need to dance all night to the Long Ranger, a Seattle-based electronic brother-sister duo who sound like the soundtrack to some indie-rock-disco-down-new-wave porno. This month, you should stick with bands that can rhyme "short black hair" with "underwear."

"They're the ultimate DIY party band. And they own two-fifths of the songs on my "Shake your Ass" iPod playlist. " - www.threeimaginarygirls.com

Bio

The Long Ranger has brushed its shoulders off from humble beginnings in the dusty underground, flaunting a brand of saucy positivity that resonates with ears across multiple genres and continents. Compelled by the warmth that electronic sounds can bring, Ted writes songs that daydream about a digital future while remaining deeply rooted in the traditions of pop music. Equal parts Motown, Hoedown, and Get Down, their cocktail of influences is instantly identifiable yet charmed with an offbeat twist. With the heat and anticipation of a first kiss they pack it all into songs of love, longing, desire, and celebration - aligning hearts to beats on the dancefloor. Rhythms and melodies splash giddily into electronic puddles while they rock a party that will have listeners simultaneously laughing and crying and dancing into the future one two-step at a time.

The Long Ranger played their first show in the Summer of 2004. Known for their energetic performances (Ted often breakdances mid-set) The Long Ranger's popularity has taken off, flexing their mic steez and dance skills with many genre favorites such as The Go! Team, Jamie Lidell, Digitalism, Tegan and Sara, and Ghostland Observatory to name a few. They have also garnered the support of the Seattle music community. Local indie rock Belle-wethers, Three Imaginary Girls, has listed The Long Ranger on several accounts as personal favorites, and two songs "Rollerskates" and "Burnin" have been in rotation on KEXP, and KGRG. They were also nominated in The Seattle Weekly Best Of Awards for two categories - Best New Music and Best Electronic Group.
