The Louisiana Purchase

The origins of The Louisiana Purchase began when members Chance Williams and Michael Ferguson became best friends in 4th grade, bonding over a love of pop punk bands, and being the goofy-hyper-kids in school. 7 years later, after reconnecting with old friend Dawson Slaby, the trio exploded onto the Dallas music scene with a creative blend of Jazz, Funk, Rock, Alternative, and all things Groovy. After beating out 16 other artist in The Door Battle of the Bands, only two months after their inception, the band was approached by local producer Jimmie McEllroy, who had just seen the band perform, and was offered free studio time to record their debut EP. With the disc set to come out in the Fall, and a slew of upcoming dates booked, including everything from club shows in Dallas, to house parties in Austin and San Marcos, these guys are shaking up the scene, and doing it for all the right reasons.
