Take One Moment

Written By: Megan Lovell / Rebecca Lovell

Take a picture of this day
Frame it in your memory
Hang it in the hallways
Of your past, don't forget me

When these days have long since past
Pinpoints on the horizon of your life
Would you remember words I said
To you, would you believe them?

CH: Take one moment,
Take one moment
Take one for me,
I'll take two to be with you, in my memory

Ghost of a smile on your face
Leaning in the doorway
Looking back at me
I wish I had a camera

CH: Take one moment
Take one moment
Take one for me
I'll take two to be with you, in my memory

CH: Take one moment
Take one moment
Take one for tears
Take two for all the years
Take three in your eyes
Take four to say goodbye
Take five for stars above
Take six to fall in love

In my memory

Time To Grow

Written By: Rebecca Lovell

I'll pack my suitcase
You get the door
I've got this Greyhound bus
And you don't got me anymore
I'm a little bit crazy
But I got this band
And we can play our music 'round the world
And I don't need you to hold my hand

I got a gig in 'Frisco Bay
You know the Golden Gate is red
I bought a good luck charm in China Town
And it's hanging right above my bed
I spent a little time trading lines
With the cats in New Orleans
Those Cajuns dance and play the blues
And they sure do know what trouble means

Don't look at me that way
I gotta head on down this road
Take your broken heart back home
I don't know where I'm gonna go
But that don't mean I should stay
I keep these boots a' walkin'
Till I reach my grave
I gotta take it slow
This heart just needs some time to grow

Sleepin' on a subway
Ridin' on a train
Driving up a northbound turnpike
Or walkin' in the pouring rain
Catching me a taxi cab
Or hoppin' on a plane
Lord, it makes no difference how I go
Just as long as I am on my way

I done packed my suitcase
Won't you open up the door?
I've got this Greyhound bus
And you don't got me anymore
You can make this easy
Or you can make it hard
I've got songs to sing and dreams to make
And boy, that's just the way things are

Don't look at me that way
I gotta head on down this road
Take your broken heart back home
I don't know where I'm gonna go
But that don't mean I should stay
I keep these boots a'walking
Till I reach my grave
I gotta take it slow
This heart just needs some time to grow

Distance

Written By: Rebecca Lovell

Heaven knows I do the things I shouldn't do
I can't count the traps I've walked right into
Every time I turn there's flashing lights and broken glass
So I start over

You speak to me in riddles and you speak to me in lies
Each word unravels one more stitch of trust inside
Every time I turn around there's a new knife in my back
Another train has jumped the track
Should I start over?

CH: Miles away, behind shield
I have watched my heart
Torn to pieces on the field
Will I forever live my life
Standing at a distance?

I spend my nights alone just looking at the stars
to feel the constellations light up in my eyes
I never noticed how the stars draw to the moon
I never thought myself a star till I was drawn to you

CH: Miles away, behind shield
I have watched my heart
Torn to pieces on the field
Will I forever live my life
Standing at a distance?

CH: Miles away, behind shield
I have watched my heart
Torn to pieces on the field
Will I forever live my life
Standing at a distance?

We Intertwine

Written By: Megan Lovell

As the cold turns to frost
And the day becomes lost to the dark
You hold me tight, hold me near
Oh my dear your love has left a mark
Yeah you're leaving a large mark
Across my whole heart

People puzzle and talk
And wonder and walk through their years
They say hello, say goodbye
Search for someone to dry all their tears
Cause we all want the large marks
We all want the big sparks

And when my heart can beat no more
I hope I die for all the good that's left in this world
And when my body gives out
I hope you find out just what this whole life was for
You and me, Us and we
Her and I, And him and she

It's a fact, ain't it true
That love's the finest thing around
Through all we say, all we do
We hope that it won't let us down
We search our whole lives
For the moment that it arrives

And underneath we all know
We would die in the name of true love
After all the pain, the lies, the games
When push came to shove
We would pay any price
We would give our whole lives

And when my heart can beat no more
I hope I die for all the good that's left in this world
And when my body gives out
I hope you find out just what this whole life was for
You and me, Us and we
Her and I, And him and she
Yours and mine, Thou and thine
And all the ways, We intertwine
Ours and theirs, The dreams we share
Here and there, And everywhere

Play On

Written By: Megan Lovell

I tried to find a good reason for loving
But I couldn't find nothing though I searched all through the night
Back at the all night diner feeding coins to the old jukebox
I feel the rhythm no matter what is given by the school of hard knocks

Oh and if music is what fuels your love, play on, play on
And nothing can stop you

I tried to define my reason for living
And as a chill ran down my spine I knew something was missing
So I turned my eyes inward to search for that something more
And with the sun I hit the road running to sing songs from my soul's core

Oh and if music is what fuels your love, play on, play on
And nothing can stop you

Trance

Written By: Megan Lovell

See this mountain view
Silent still as the evening grew
Lines drawn so illogically
Rise and fall in all their artistry

It's just beyond this windowpane
And it always takes my breath away
Then I catch your gaze and say a prayer
Cause all this can't begin to compare

To the twinkle in your eyes
Or the wrinkles when you smile
To your charming crooked teeth
Take me I can hardly breathe
Embrace me in your trance

See the house by the sea
The wind, the waves, surf, and reef
I walked the beach for miles on end
Your face always brought me back

I held your hand with the rising tide
The moon came up and I told a lie
I said this is the most beautiful
Thing I've ever laid my eyes upon

But that ain't true my love
Cause what I see in you rises far above
Any other thing on earth
How could I assign a worth

To the twinkle in your eyes
Or the wrinkles when you smile
To your charming crooked teeth
Take me I can hardly breathe
To the way your heart commits
Take me here, take every bit
To the strength of every touch
I never knew I'd feel so much
Embrace me in your trance

Taller Far

Written By: Rebecca Lovell

The night was cloaked in snow
And the streams were frozen glass
But when the Chinook began to blow,
I knew the winter could not last
We had a long, long time to go
As the moon arced cross the sky
But as the seasons changed below
I swore I felt us start to fly

And when the morning came around
I wondered if it'd been a dream
But there was stardust in my mouth
And ice still floating the stream

Etched on your palms and eyes are blueprint dreams
Of raising high the highest roof beams
Words of iron, words of steel,
With spokes that burn and turn the wheel
And when you rise to pull the sun
In flames of gold across the skies
You raise your hand to wave goodbye and scrape the stars
You're taller far than a tall man

Now you're breaking down the door
Shoulders broad as the bedroom
Like the grecian god of war
Like Ares comes the bridegroom

And when the morning came around
I wondered if it'd been a dream
But there was stardust in my mouth
And ice still floating the stream

Celebrate

Written By: Megan Lovell

Celebrate your life right now, right now
Don't wait for anyone to say how, say how
Cause it's you who'll pay the price, you can't live it twice
So, celebrate your life right now

People come, people go
Tides change, cities grow
Celebrate
Maybe you are out of time
Energy, piece of mind
Celebrate

It's heavenly even though it's a heartache
Heavenly, though it feels like a heartbreak
Heaven is what you make it out to be

Feel the fire rising in your soul, you soul
The act of life's a spark you can't control, control
Don't be dissatisfied and enjoy the ride
Celebrate your life right now

People come, people go
Tides change, cities grow
Celebrate
Maybe you are out of time
Energy, piece of mind
Celebrate

It's heavenly even though it's a heartache
Heavenly, though it feels like a heartbreak
Heaven is what you make it out to be

Russian Roulette

Written By: Rebecca Lovell

On your mark get set, russian roulette
Stake all you've got, don't forget it's a shot in the dark
The revolver is loaded, go for a spin
Where it will stop no one knows but the firing pin

Love ain't kind, it'll rob you blind
Love is a game that you just can't win
It's a hard come, easy go (hard come, easy go)
Love is a game that you just can't win
It's hard come (easy go)
I tried my hand and lost, now my heart is double crossed
It's a high stakes mistake when a heart breaks

Time's at a standstill, the bullet is spun
Pull back the curtain for certain to see what you've won
They'll kiss and tell big lies, but the house has an edge
I'm once burned and twice shy, say goodbye quit while you're ahead

Love ain't kind, it'll rob you blind
Love is a game that you just can't win
It's a hard come, easy go (hard come, easy go)
Love is a game that you just can't win
It's hard come (easy go)
I tried my hand and lost, now my heart is double crossed
It's a high stakes mistake when a heart breaks
