The Lovely Savages

We are what would happen if Carl Perkins and Iggy And The Stooges had a head-on collision and the ER doc that put them back together turned out to be Lou Reed. Obviously some parts got mixed up and left out, and there were a lot of phone calls back and forth "..Hi Carl, do you have James' finger?"

Biography

We love rock music. Especially the old way. Raw, stripped down, a bit louder than it needs to be, cracking back beat, guitar used as both carrot and stick, songwriting that gets stuck in your head, but turns what seems familiar into a backroad that you're not sure where goes.

We learned to love this stuff from people like Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran, The Velvet Underground, Dion, Billy Childish, The Yardbirds, Iggy and the Stooges, The New York Dolls, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, The Sonics, Richard Hell and the Voidoids, Small Faces, Big Star, The Beatles and the Stones, The Ramones, and all of the other obvious ones.

We have been playing music together since late 2011, and separately we've played in a ridiculous number of bands over the course of decades in this thing called rock and roll - some of these were damn fine. We're busted our asses, cut our teeth and made a local name for ourselves. We're a tight unit, we're ready to grease this thing and we need you on our team!

Lyrics

TammyX3 (oh!)

Written By: Daniel Crandall

Long as you're with me / I will never fall down
You're flexing and you're lifting me / up off of the ground
Swinging me around / crazy with the sound
I'm so with you / never turn you down.

Call me in the morning / and you make it all up
Out to 4 of morning / and you're waking me up
Pull me out the bunk / come on lets go get drunk
Right there with you / never turn you down

Oh Tammy Tammy Tammy girl you're slammin
A fever in my eye like one of a kind
Oh Tammy Tammy lets go to Miami
And peel away with everything that money can buy

You bring it and I try it / You're filling me up
Incite my mind to riot / Yeah you make me so tough
Sling it off the cuff / A little ain't enough
Right there with you / Never turn you down

Call me in the evening / Yeah you're waking me up
Out to break of morning/ Just a making things up
Take me to the bridge / Right up to the edge
Right there with you / Never turn you down

Oh Tammy Tammy Tammy girl you're slammin
A fever in my eye like a one of a kind
Oh Tammy Tammy lets go to Miami
and peel away with everything that money can buy
Oh Tammy Tammy Tammy understand me
You take it and you leave it and you get me so high
Oh Tammy Tammy lets go to Maimi
And steal away with everything that money can buy.

Never Think Twice

Written By: Daniel Crandall

When the snakes are coming home
And the stakes are overblown
What makes our
Little quasar
Is the way our bunker-buster blown
You want a fade out
I know the way out

I know you're right
I know you're true
I know what you're like
I know what you'll do
I know what I'm like
I know what I'll
And in the night
Whatever we do
Out of the light

Take my advice
Never think twice

A little later it's ever been
An escalator to the end
I tell you right now
In the light now
Wrong is right if we stay out of sight
Another month
Another ten
I'm gone but I'm back again
I'll tell you right now
In the light now

No
Don't

I know you're right
I know you're true
I know what you're like
I know what you'll do
You know what I'm like
You know what I'll
And in the night
Whatever we do
Out of the light

What we made is what we lie in
Without words well you know it ain't lyin
Alright now
It's alright now
On the way out I'll never fade out
I want a way out another way out

Take my advice
And don't ever think twice

You know what I'm like
You know I'm true
You know I'm right
You know what I'll

In the night
Whatever we do
Out of the light

Country Singer

Written By: Daniel Crandall

My dog is old
My truck is cold
My soul is sold
My hand's a fold
I've got a mind
To six a nine
To drop a dime
And cross the line
Yeah.

I'm a country singer
But I got no words.

My girls a fade
Ded memory
Good looking yeah
But I look away
She want a man
Who's got it made
She realize
That I'm a shade
Yeah.

I'm a country singer
But I got no words
I don't know what I'm saying
But I know what I heard
Ten years on the lam
And I still know right where I am
Hanging my toes off the edge of the earth

I come on home
I close the door
I wake up on
The bathroom floor
My eyes are pinned
To where I've been
And when it ends
It starts again

You gotta start somewhere
You gotta start somewhere
That's pretty good
I ought to right that down
Yeah.
Yeah.

I'm a country singer
But I lost my nerve
I don't got no roses
Or salt of the earth
Ten years on the lam
And I still know right where I am
Hanging my legs of the edge of the world

Unrecognizable

Written By: Daniel Crandall

Well we meet again
And nobody knows who we are
Nobody looks too hard

Well now you could say I'm your friend
And then we gotta lower that bar
And then we're gonna shoot that star

Now we're all unrecognizable
Now we're all alright

Now here we go again
And now were going to look too hard
And over by the bar
Picked up right where we are
And nobody looks too hard
And no one's gonna make thing's hard.

Now it's all unrecognizable
Now it's all alright.

Yeah here we leave it again
Ain't nobody looking too hard
EastEnders above the bar.
No compunction or pretend
No pay back for a lend
No papers need a read
I heard your car start

Now it's all unrecognizable
Now it's alright
